Our Cosy Bell Tent

Over the little stream, beneath the trees lies The Hideaway. A little escape away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, take your boots off after a long hike and relax in our cosy remote bell tent, right in the heart of Edale in the Peak District National Park.

Our little bell tent is suitable for 2 adults, either a couple or two friends (unfortunately children are not allowed).

  • There is two comfortable single mattresses that can be pushed together to make one spacious double or split apart for two singles.

  • Bedding and linen is all provided too, complete with a blanket in case its gets chilly overnight.

  • Outside there is a picnic bench for you to relax outside and cook your evening meals.

  • There is also a gas stove, water carrier, kettle, cutlery, pots and pans for you to use, and even a lantern to help you see inside the tent or outside underneath the trees.

It's a really quiet spot in the Hideaway beside the stream, a great place to unwind and with very little signal and no wifi you can really switch off, but if after your adventures you still have energy for an evening activity then we do have Swingball you can play!

Your furry friend is welcome to come and stay in The Little Hideaway Escape. We must just ask that you please keep them on a lead at all times and clean up after them. Please try and keep them of the bedding as much as possible. Thank you.

The Campsite

Over the bridge you will find all the other facilities you need on the campsite, toilets and showers (don't forget your 20ps), a fridge freezer, phone charging lockers, pot washing area and drinking water. So if your ready for an adventure in the heart of Edale, and want the fun of camping with a few luxuries (tent already pitched, no deflating air beds and your own private little area with a picnic bench!) then why not book our little hideaway escape.

There is a minimum two night booking, three nights over bank holidays, car parking is available (please note the car park is separate to the bell tent and is a short walk away).

What we recommend to pack; your clothes and toiletries, a towel, a torch, 20ps for showers, 50ps for hairdryers, a phone charger with plug socket if you want to use the lockers, your food and drink, a coat and waterproof shoes just in case it rains.

Access to the Hideaway is through the campsite, down some adventurous steps or via a ramp and then over a small footbridge with no hand rails. Staff will show you where to go upon check in but we do strongly advise head torches and ask you to take care when crossing the bridge.

It gets pretty dark over there so its perfect for stargazing between the trees canopy, but we do recommend you bring a head torch or take the lantern when venturing out over the small footbridge in the evening.

We should hopefully have everything else you need for your little hideaway escape.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.
