We'd rather you ask us any questions you may have, but you may find the answer you're looking for here;
Fires or BBQ's are NOT allowed. The burning of any solid fuel is not permitted, but gas powered stoves or Trangia's are accepted.
We are a Tent Pitch Only campsite.
We do not accept Campervans/Caravans/Motorhomes/Trailer Tents/Roof Tents. However we may have space in our car park during quieter periods - please get in touch to see if we can accomodate you.​
I want to bring two tents, how many pitches do I need to book?
Please book 1 pitch per tent. So if there are two small backpacking tents, please book two grass pitches, you can select multiple units at the top of the booking page. During busy periods, if we have reached our license capacity you may not be able to pitch an extra tent to what has been booked.
GROUPS - we do NOT allow large family or friend bookings. There's a max of 5 people per booking or a max of 2 families together. This is because we are small quiet campsite.
Organised groups like DofE groups are welcome, but please contact the site directly to book.
Our car park is separate to the camping fields, so you can't pitch right next to your tent.
But we do have wheelbarrows to help you move your kit to your tent. Car parking is limited, if we do not have any spaces to book you'll have to park offsite.
Electric Parking Spaces
We have two car parking spaces for electric cars to charge overnight. Please let us know us know if you would like a parking space for charging your car during your stay (you can add this to your booking if we have availability). They are on a first come first serve basis. The Pod Point App needs to be downloaded prior to use, and requires signal to connect and charge. Please see pod point app for rates.
Campervans & Roof Tents
We may be able to accommodate small campervans and cars with roof tents in our car park when it is less busy. Please get in touch to see if we have space.
We DON'T have any electric hook-ups, it's just back to basic camping.
There's a small fridge freezer on site you can use, we also have power banks for charging phones (£2.50/day plus £10 deposit refunded upon return), and hairdryers (use 50ps). We can also charge any of your devices in the office for £1.
What time can I arrive?
Arrivals are from 2pm - 8pm. Please do not park or pitch before this time. On arrival please check in at reception.
Early arrivals can ONLY be PREBOOKED (there is an extra charge and limited availability). If you are running late please contact reception. Arrivals after 8pm are permitted if discussed in advance. All tents must be pitched before 9.30pm and no more movement of cars after this time. We have a strict quiet time from 10.30pm.
Can I cancel and get a refund or move my booking?
We ask for a 30% deposit to reserve your booking, the remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival. We are unable to offer refunds or move bookings less than 30 days before arrival. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
Is there any Wifi?
No there is no wifi on the campsite, phone signal is also very limited here so it's great if you want a break from technology or a chance to appreciate the outdoors without the distractions of your phone or laptop. However if you need wifi, there are two pubs and two cafes in the village, which both have free wifi for customers so we'd recommend going there to get internet access.
