What you need to know
Updated 02/02/2026. These Terms & Conditions apply to all online and walk-on bookings at Fieldhead Campsite. By making a booking, the lead booker confirms they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all members of their party.
Summary for Lead Bookers
• We are a quiet campsite in a small village - noise must be kept low, especially after 10pm.
• Payment secures the booking; cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable.
• Fires, solid fuel and disposable BBQs are not permitted. Gas powered stoves are welcome.
• Parking is limited and must be arranged in advance.
• Breaches of these Terms may result in eviction without refund.

1. Booking & Payment
1.1 Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only once the required payment has been received and written confirmation via email has been issued by Fieldhead Campsite.
1.2 Payment Terms

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.

The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival.
-
Bookings made within 30 days of arrival require full payment immediately.
1.3 Availability
Due to the campsite’s limited size and licensed capacity, your reservation cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received.

2. Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival will receive a refund minus the non-refundable 30% deposit and any booking or administration fees.

Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are entirely non-refundable.

No refunds are given for early departure, poor weather, illness or circumstances beyond our control.
We strongly recommend taking out suitable travel or holiday insurance. In rare circumstances where the campsite must cancel a booking (e.g. due to operational issues), a full refund will be issued.

3. Arrival & Departure

Check-in: 2:00pm – 8:00pm (early check-in by prior arrangement and subject to an additional fee). All guests must check in at reception on arrival.

Check-out: by 10:00am (late check-out by prior arrangement and subject to availability).

Please contact us if you are running late. Guests who have not arrived by 9:00pm without prior contact may be assumed not to be attending.

4. Minimum & Maximum Stays

A minimum 3-night stay applies on Bank Holiday weekends, except for hiker/backpacker pitches.

Maximum stay length is 8 consecutive nights, unless agreed in advance.

5. Vehicles & Parking
-
Parking is extremely limited and must be booked in advance.

A parking permit will be issued on arrival and must be displayed clearly on the vehicle dashboard.

Additional charges apply for early arrival, late departure, or extended parking, subject to availability.

6. Tents, Pitching & Space
-
Tent size must be declared at the time of booking.

Tents 5 metres in length and over must be booked as ‘Large Tents’ (maximum size 6.5 metres).

A minimum 3 metre gap must be maintained between neighbouring tents.

7. Dogs
-
Dogs are welcome for an additional nightly fee. Maximum 2 well-behaved dogs per pitch.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, cleaned up after, and not left unattended.

Dogs are not permitted in our indoor facilities.

Aggressive or persistently disruptive dogs will result in eviction without refund.
8. Children
Children must be supervised at all times. Climbing on walls, fences or trees is strictly prohibited. Do not let your children play in the stream.
9. Visitors
Visitors are not permitted without prior approval. Due to capacity limits, we may not be able to accommodate additional visitors. Please arrange to meet friends and family off-site.
10. Site Rules
To protect the peaceful nature of the campsite and your fellow campers:

Quiet hours are 10:00pm – 7:30am. No amplified music is permitted at any time.

No fires, solid fuel, disposable or charcoal BBQs are allowed. Gas stoves and welcome.

Gazebos or event shelters are not permitted unless they have been pre-arranged.

Please do not move campsite furniture or cook on benches.

All rubbish must be disposed of in the bins provided.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on site.

Group bookings (5+ adults) can only be accepted from organised groups by contacting the site directly. We cannot accept large family or friend groups.
11. Damage & Cleaning Charges
We reserve the right to charge for any damage, misuse of facilities, or excessive cleaning required beyond reasonable use. Do not leave broken camping equipment by the bins – you may be charged for disposal.
12. Right to Evict
We reserve the right to ask guests to leave without refund if these Terms & Conditions are breached or behaviour causes disruption or safety concerns.
13. Liability
Fieldhead Campsite accepts no responsibility for personal injury, loss, or damage to property, vehicles, or personal belongings, except where required by law.
14. Data Protection
Personal data collected during the booking process is used solely to manage reservations and site operations. Data is stored securely, retained for up to 24 months, and not shared with third parties unless required by law.
